Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 24
Favorite Class in Mass Effect
Vanguard. I love Biotic skills, but having some secondary gun skills really comes in handy. I played Vanguard in ME2 as well (We’ll get to that later), and I will almost certainly finish up the game with a Vanguard Shep in ME3. Lift ftw.

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 23
Which squadmate would I want to get a spin-off?
Hm. Hmmmmm. Maybe Thane? We don’t really know a whole lot about him, and maybe like a prequel of his assassin days would be cool. And there would be so many hanar! The game could be sort of like Star Wars: Bounty Hunter (What? I liked that game!). It could work.

I have read none of the Mas effect books. All I know is that, apparently, Deception was problematic.

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 20
MaleShep or FemShep
Well, I’ve always played MaleShep. Problem is, he always ends up looking weird. In the character creation screen he looks alright, but once I start playing, he looks sort of off (especially when speaking). I feel like this is a common issue. Maybe for ME3 I’ll just go with standard MaleShep.

A Gif Chain of Ice and Fire, Part 1: A Game of...
So I’m bored and thought it’d be fun-ish to give my reactions to reading through the ASOIAF books in gif form. I’ll do it in separate posts over the next few days, so as not to be that obnoxious guy with the millions of gifs in one post that move slowly as a reult of there being too many. Anyway, spoiler alert as always.

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 19
Other genres I’d like to see covered by BioWare/in Mass Effect style
Well, Dragon Age was good (Although my Xbox red-ringed (red-rang?) before I could beat it. So, medieval/fantasy would’ve been my first choice, but that’s obviously been done. Hmm…you know what’d be awesome? A game based on the A Song of Ice and Fire series/set in that world done by Bioware. You play...

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 18
Things I’d like to see in Mass Effect 3
Well, based on the trailers, I sort of already know what we’re going to be seeing. I just hope the story is good and finishes off Shepard’s story in a good way.

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 17
Favorite Quarian
OK, this is easy. Tali! She’s one of the best squadmates in both games, in my opinion. Her comments are usually interesting and she shows good character growth throughout the first two games. She’s loyal to Shepard, even when she disagrees with him. She’s sort of goofy and really cares for Shepard, even if you don’t romance her. By far my favorite...

Favorite Salarian
OK, in case you missed that post I made a while ago, this pretty much sums up why Mordin Solus is my favorite Salarian (and one of my favorite ME characters overall!): THIS IS ALL THE REASON I NEED.

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 14
Favorite Asari
Not a big fan of Liara at all. So I guess Samara is OK. She has an interesting story, even though she is not too fun to talk to.

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 13
Favorite Turian
OK, is this even a question? Of course it’s Garrus Vakarian! He’s a pretty good squadmate combat-wise, he’s loyal to Shepard no matter what, and he survived a missile. To the face. The guy is a grade-A BAMF, and all other Turians pale in comparison.

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 12
Favorite Non-Shepard Human Character
Easy. Joker! He’s your constant pal, and he works just as hard as anyone on the squad to ensure the success of the mission. Plus, he’s voiced by Seth Green. Awesome. He’s just a fun character to have around for both games, and the back and forth between EDI and him in ME2 is always amusing.

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 11
Favorite Antagonist
Well, there aren’t a whole lot of options here, now are there? I mean, I guess if we’re sticking with strict antagonists, I’d say Sovereign. Mostly because he’s a giant sentient ship-monster.
But the answer I’d really like to give here is the Illusive Man. I mean, what is up with that perpetually smoking creep? All throughout ME2, I did not trust...

I really can’t name most of the weapons from the game, to be honest. I did like that Collector Particle Beam in ME2, though. That and shotguns.

Is there anything I wish they had kept from Mass Effect and put in Mass Effect 2?
Maybe the Mako. Maybe. Like one Mako mission would be OK. But no more.

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 7
Favorite Alien Race
For this one, I’m going to go with the Quarians. There’s just so much about them that we don’t know yet, and that’s what makes them cool. Add to that the complete mystery regarding what they actually look like, and they’re one of the most interesting parts of the game. Their society is so interesting, and getting glimpses of it through Tali and...

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 6
Favorite Side Mission
I am trying to think of side missions…hm…OK.
I really hated that one mission on the moon in Mass Effect, but I also loved it. I mean, you got to hang out on the moon. Granted, it’s much less exotic than other Mass Effect locales, but it was during this mission that I realizes how cool this game could be. I was in the same solar system as Earth, on a moon...

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 5
Favorite Loyalty Mission
I think I’m going to go with Legion’s, since it could have pretty interesting repercussions in ME3. It also gave a lot of insight into the geth, who were, until that point, sort of a mystery. It was nice to hear their story and to make a decision that really made you consider both sides. Probably one of the game’s tougher decisions, in my opinion....

Favorite Storyline Mission
Alright, this is an easy one: Mass Effect 2’s Suicide Mission.
That last mission was just so different. I liked having to pick squadmates to perform certain actions, even if it meant losing someone along the way. It really seemed like a lot was at stake, and it was the game’s way of making your squadmates (even the ones you never used) seem important. They...

Mass Effect 30-Day Challenge: Day 3
Favorite squadmates in Mass Effect 2
This is sort of a toughie, mostly because of the sheer amount of squadmates in that darn game. I think I’ll just say that my favorite team was Tali & Garrus and just give a little sentence about each squadmate.
Jacob: Never used him aside from at the beginning. He wasn’t all that interesting and his skills and mine were more or less the same,...

Favorite squadmates in Mass Effect
I fluctuated quite a bit in Mass Effect, to be honest. It started out as Ashley & Kaidan (well, duh, I only had them), then gradually became Garrus & Kaidan, and I eventually decided on Tali & Wrex. So I guess the only squadmate who never got to see much action was Liara. Oh well. Anyway, I ended up really liking the combo of Tali & Wrex; with...
